On Wednesday I had the great priviledge of meeting a few members of Tasmania’s Pagan community. I first went to have coffee with one lady (we’ll call her ‘M’, since I’m not sure she’d want me to share her name or not), as she had offered me a ride to the meetup that night, and I kind of wanted to meet her first, before getting into the car with a total stranger!!
She was really lovely, so we made the arrangements and she came to pick me up at about 6pm. The car ride was an hour each way, but it was so worth it to meet up with all these wonderful people. I was immediately comfortable in the situation and was able to have conversation with a lot of the people at the table. Every month at these meetups (which are referred to as ‘moots’), they have a guest speaker, and this month’s was a wonderful lady who we’ll call ‘R’ (for the above reason). She essentially just talked about her life as a Witch and the training and such that she’s been through. It was sooo interesting and intriguing; I sat there just absorbing everything that she said. It was wonderful.
After a couple more drinks (no alcohol for me!!) we had to pack up and head home, but I’ve managed to make at least a couple more friends, and I can’t wait to see them all again!
In other news, I don’t think I’ll be able to get the podcast out this month - I’m so sorry to all of you who have been waiting. Life has just got in the way a bit, and I will get it out as soon as I possibly can. Again, my apologies to all of you who’ve waited so long.
