About Tahlea

Tahlea Moonwater is a 23 year old Wiccan who has identified as Pagan and has been studying and practicing Paganism for around 8 years. Tahlea identifies her personal path as Eclectic Paganism, taking elements of differing traditions to form and conform to her own non-spiritual beliefs (such as that of not doing any intentional harm). She indulges in the study of Wicca and Witchcraft, as well as other Occult topics. Whilst mostly being a solitary practitioner and focusing with community online, Tahlea has been increasingly involved with her local Pagan community, starting up her own networking site for Pagans in Tasmania (now defunct), as well as joining the Tasmanian Pagan Alliance, Inc. and becoming quite involved with the organisation through revamping their website, attending two moots per month, and the submission of a regular ‘Internet Interest’ column to the TPA’s quarterly newsletter. Additionally, she was the Australian Columnist at The Pagan Activist (which closed down in July 2009).

In her spare time, Tahlea enjoys designing websites and doing other nerdy things. With this combination of interests, it was only a matter of time before the concept of GeekWitch.org was born.

Tahlea is friendly, loves talking to different people and hearing their experiences, so please contact her – she’d love to hear from you!

She currently lives in Tasmania, Australia with her husband, Devon Rex cat, Hendrix, Turkish Van cat Delilah and Boxer-Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, Sadie.

    Merry Meet Tahlea

First off, I love your podcast, even though I’ve only just begun to listen to the episodes, lol. I originally found you via Brook the Ipod Witch. It’s great to see an Aussie getting out there. I hope you and your family are safe with all of those fires going on in Victoria. I’m Fernmaia and I live in Queensland, I moved to Australia in July of last year from New Zealand. I’m an eclectic pagan also and currently a solitary practicioner (forgive the spelling, lol).

I love your herb segments, they are really informative and handy to have!

Anyway, I hope you have a fantastic 21st birthday and I look forward to your future podcasts :)

    Blessed Be!

I have just discovered your podcast and I love it, I cant wait to listen to all of them. I have been following my own path for around 20 years now and listening to you is like a beautiful spring breeze that I really need at this point in my faith. I look forward to following your new podcasts and catching up on your older ones. Blessed be.

    • Symona says:

Do what you think is right. Talk to your foster parents about it. They might be able to help. Sure, they might be mad in the beggining, but, like Thalea says, it’s your choice.

Hey, Thalea. I was wondering about your posts of the whole thing that you say we should make our own spells. I was wondering, how do you make spells?

Hi, Im 15 and this site has really helped me feel more connected with other pagens. Im the only person that practices wicca, or even really knows what it is, in my town and surrounding ones for that matter. I have only recently began my path, and so far it seems healther for me than any thing Ive really put myself into. It saved my life. I was indescribly depressed, cutting, branding, and starving myself for days on end. My grandfather is a preacher but ive never felt like i belonged to the christen faith. But Im rambling. I just wanted to thank you and all the other pagens for helping me. blessed be.

I live in the USA. As a self-professed Atheist, and apparently, a bit more mature than most respondants on your site ( In my 50′s!), I was always drawn to the Natural & Spiritual, and have always said that if this Puritanical Christian country of mine ever required it’s citizens to legally declare a recognized Religion, I would claim Paganism!! I stumbled upon your site by accident, and must say I have very much enjoyed your very REAL, down-to-earth approach to Wicca! You have made it very Easy to relate to, and you have actually inspired me to delve deeper into the Wiccan Religion as perhaps something I’ve been missing!! I’ve always been drawn to the concept, but never comitted myself!! No time like the present!!
I will look very forward to continuing to access your site & watching your video casts!!

    Thank-you!!
