Firstly, the crazy neighbours have FINALLY left, leaving just us on this block. But not for long…

Because hubby and I are buying our first house – how exciting is that?! I’m so super-pumped – we should get confirmation that our finance has been fully approved by Friday next week (we’re hoping Wednesday), so we’re hoping to be in the new house by the end of April! I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get the next episode of the podcast out before we move, because Goddess knows that’s going to be a hectic time for us. I cannot make any guarantees, and I apologise to all of you who’ve been waiting so patiently for the next episode, but I will definitely try to have it out soon. It’s very difficult for me to record while my husband is at home – and most of the time I’m here, he is too. It’s not so much that I don’t want him to hear what I’m saying; it’s more that he’s a complete distraction

So anyway, I will try to get the next episode out soon! Thanks for your patience!

Yup, it’s me. I’m alive, well and kicking. I just wanted to give you all an update, seeing as I think you all deserve it.

I’ve been meaning to get another episode out recently, but after working 38 hours a week, all I want to do on the weekends is sleep and laze about (not to mention the housework and such that comes with mundane life). The next episode is in the works, and whilst I can’t guarantee a time or date for it to appear, I can guarantee it will be out. Thank you for your responses to the question in Episode #13 – it’s been an interesting thing to see peoples’ answers, and I’ll be sharing some (if not all) of those responses.

I wanted to pass on my extreme gratitude and acknowledge all of those people who have sent me email, ‘friended’ me on Facebook or started following me on Twitter – when I first started this project, I (like many others) never expected to get the response that I have, and I do very much appreciate it. Whilst I hoped I would gain an audience, I never expected to have over 32,000 downloads in just under 18 months. That number is INSANE to me, and I am so grateful for every single download.

I’ll also take this opportunity to say that it’s not possible for me to now answer every single email or Facebook message I get. If you’re just passing on a ‘Hey, love the show!’ or something like that, please understand that I will read it and appreciate it, but I can’t give everyone a response – I feel I’d be sitting here for the next 12 months, just to give my full attention to each email! If you ask a question, please don’t expect an answer straight away – it might even be a month or two before I can get back to you. Each question I get needs time for me to sit down, work out my answer and articulate it in a way that helps you. If it’s something to be resolved urgently, it’s probably best to seek out help elsewhere, as much as I’d love to help.

I love you all so much – you’re a blessing to this little Geek Witch’s life and you are the reason I keep doing this!

Well I know it’s been way too long. I just wanted to let you know that I have not pod-faded!!! I’m merely taking a hiatus from podcasting. I hope to end this hiatus on Saturday, but we’ll see what happens.

On the topic of ‘podfading’, I just wanted to say that I will never just up-and-disappear without letting you guys know. If I quit, I’ll make a recording and put it on the RSS feed. I want everyone to have full disclosure about what’s happening with the show.

On another point, I wanted to thank everyone who’s emailed me and donated money towards the show over the last few months. The response I continue to get is phenomenal, and I appreciate every single one of you. I also appreciate your patience in my getting back to you, as I know I can appear to be tardy in that as well – but I’ve received so many great emails, and I will get stuck into responding to them all shortly.

I would like to propose that we set aside February 20th as Tempest Smith Day.

On February 20, 2001, Tempest Smith died by her own hand. She was twelve years old. She died because she could not take any more of the daily religious harassment, bullying and torment from her classmates because she chose to follow the Wiccan path.

It is customary in some traditions, notably Christian, to honor a saint or a martyr by setting aside the day of their passing as the day to commemorate. Since her tormentors apparently thought that they were serving Jesus (whether or not he would have approved) , I believe it would be especially appropriate in this case.

As for what to do on Tempest Smith Day, simply take a little time to offer energies and prayers for her and so that this will never happen again.
